World Post Day is celebrated globally every year on October 9, marking the anniversary of the establishment of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) in 1874 in Bern, Switzerland. In India, it is followed closely by National Postal Day on October 10, serving as an extension to honor the contributions of the domestic postal network.
